Sterndale Singers is a Sheffield-based mixed chamber choir of currently around 26 members, and has the reputation of being one of the best choirs in the city.

The choir was originally formed in 1977 initially singing mostly madrigals and other music suitable for small choirs, but their concert schedule and repertoire quickly grew. When Robert Webb took over as Musical Director in 2004, the choir's repertoire continued to expand, and the choir has developed a reputation for interesting and imaginative programming including in 2011, the first performance in Sheffield of Scottish composer James Macmillan's Seven Last Words from the Cross.

The choir enjoys singing both a cappella repertoire but also collaborating in performance with soloists, and other local choral, instrumental and orchestral groups on occasion as well. The choir's repertoire spans music from different periods from renaissance to contemporary, but is united in achieving performances of a high standard.

Since 2007 the choir has also revived its earlier custom of travelling abroad to sing, visiting south-west France on several occasions.

The choir is looking forward to continuing not only delivering an excellent standard of music making, but also the pleasure, excitement and friendship which are part of singing in a choir.
