9 March - Sterndale Singers perform William Sterndale Bennett's "The Woman of Samaria" at The Upper Chapel
10 March - four Sheffield chamber choirs - The Abbeydale Singers, Sheffield Chorale, Sheffield Chamber Choir and Sterndale Singers - join together for "Sounds of Heaven" singing a feast of choral music exploring texture, harmony and space at Sheffield Cathedral

Not the Eurovision Concert - 21 May 2022
Sterndale Singers performed an imaginative and original alterative to the Eurovision Song Contest, selecting music from 18 of the countries which compete in Eurovision, including for example:
- Austria - Mozart "Ave Verum Corpus"
- Finland - Mantyjarvi "Double Double Toil and Trouble"
- Germany - Brahms "Ach, Arme Welt"
- Portugal - Fernandes "Xicochi Xicochi"
- Scotland - Trad. "An Eriskay Love Lilt"

- Ukraine - Lysenko "Prayer for Ukraine"
Music for Stage & Screen - 10 July 2022
A light-hearted Summer Concert in aid of South Yorkshire Refugee Law and Justice which contained many great songs from the world of Stage and Screen, including:
A medley of the best James Bond themes; songs by Cole Porter and Gershwin; the theme song from 'Titanic'; Moon River from 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and many other favourites.

Classical Sheffield "Sounds of Heaven" -18 March 2023
Sterndale Singers, Sheffield Chamber Choir, Sheffield Chorale and Steel City Choristers performed individually and also joined together to sing John Tavener's masterpiece "God is with Us" in St Marie's Cathedral.

We joined forces with our friends Bel Canto in two separate concerts commemorating Remembrance Day:

Christmas Concert - 22 December 2023
Our concert featured Benjamin Britten's "Ceremony of Carols" in the original version for upper voices with harp accompaniment by Alley York-Bridge.
We were also joined by organist Peter Heginbotham, who accompanied us as we performed a seasonal programme of music both old and new, including:
When thou wast born in wintertime - Lennox Berkeley; A Boy was born - Benjamin Britten; In the bleak midwinter - Harold Darke; There is no Rose - John Joubert; I sing of a maiden - Matthew Martin; Nativity Carol - John Rutter.
O Vos Omnes - 24 March 2024
A choral meditation for Passiontide taking us on a journey from Christ's triumphant entry to Jerusalem through to his crucifixion on Good Friday.
The programme featured several settings of the text "O Vos Omnes" (O ye that pass by, attend and see if there be any sorrow like to my sorrow) as well as one of the finest unaccompanied settings of the Mass ever written - The Mass for Four Voices by William Byrd. Other composers included: Weelkes, Tallis, Victoria, Bruckner, Lassus and Durufle.


Carnival of the Animals - 6 July 2024
Our summer concert was a delightful and eclectic programme of choral music about animals... and a few birds too! Everything from peacocks to pussy cats and blackbirds to bears, and many more in between!
Music included pieces by Andrew Carter, Aaron Copeland, Flanders and Swan, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Rutter, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Eric Whitacre, Clement Janequin, Orlando Gibbons, John Wilbye and others.

Choral Jazz Concert - 26 October 2024
We were joined by jazz trio Jonathan Gooing (piano), Michael Bardon (double bass) and Nicholas Honeybone (drum kit) in a wonderful concert which included:

Faure Requiem - 10 November 2024
To commemorate Remembrance Sunday, we performed one of the best loved Requiem Masses.
Featuring Jonathan Gooing (Organ), Taylor (Baritone) and Susan Austin (Soprano for Pie Jesu).

Christmas Concert - 20 December 2024
Performing with the West Riding Ensemble, Jonathan Gooing (organ) and Peter Taylor (baritone) provided a truly festive feast of Christmas music, including:

- Charpentier - Messe de Minuit
- Buxtehude - Magnificat and In Dulci Jubilo
- Gjeilo - The Rose and much more


Sounds of Heaven - 23 March 2025
Sheffield Choral, Sterndale Singers, Sheffield Chamber Choir and Steel City Choristers joined forces to sing John Tavener's "God is with Us" and a selection of other heavenly choral pieces.
A Baltic Odyssey - 5 April 2025
Journeying around Baltic visiting music by composers from Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia and Norway, including choral pieces by Esenvalds, Gjeilo, Grieg, Lindberg, Mantyjarvi, Part, Rachmaninov, Reger, Rheinberger and Tormis.
